Kepto is built on one principle: your data stays with you. Here's exactly how your information is handled, section by section.
Kepto stores all your warranty and receipt information locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Nothing is uploaded to the developer's servers.
If you're signed into iCloud, your items are also synced to your private iCloud account and shared across the Apple devices using the same iCloud login. The developer of Kepto never sees or stores this data. It moves directly between your device and Apple's iCloud servers.
When you scan or upload a receipt, the image is processed entirely on your device using Apple's Vision framework. Neither the image nor the extracted text is ever sent over the network. The original receipt photo is saved locally alongside the item record so you can view it later.
Premium unlocks unlimited items, PDF and CSV exports, date range exports, service reminders, advanced stats and custom categories as a one-time purchase. The purchase is handled entirely by Apple's StoreKit. Kepto receives only a yes-or-no entitlement and a transaction ID. Retriever Labs never sees your Apple ID, payment details, or location. You can restore a previous purchase any time from the upgrade screen.
Kepto can create several kinds of export, each handed straight to the system share sheet. Anything you do with the resulting file (AirDrop, email, save to Files, and so on) is your choice.

Kepto does not collect analytics, crash reports, advertising identifiers, or any other telemetry.
